If you’ve been struggling with pain, chances are most of what you’ve tried addresses the physical causes of pain, through bodywork, or medicine, or even looking at body structure. What might be missing is seeing, and changing, patterns of stress that are causing you to tense your body in ways that injure it. If you are stressed mentally, then you are holding tension physically, and that will injure you.

Using deliberate, slow strokes or friction across the grain of the muscle, I address chronic tight or painful muscles, repetitive strain, postural problems, or injuries.
While it's true that the pressure of deep tissue may be more intense than that of a Swedish massage, it shouldn't have to be painful to be effective.
Unlike traditional massage, medical massage focuses on a particular medical diagnosis as part of the physician's treatment plan, and can be recommended for a variety of maladies, including carpal tunnel syndrome and migraines. My background as an RN is especially helpful with this type of work. It isn't a particular style of massage in itself, but it applies the various massage I already utilize to achieve several specific goals, and get you the best results.
I often work with individuals after an auto accident, and am happy to bill your insurance for that. I can also bill BCBS and Moda, IF your plan covers massage
